IIT Bombay PhD Admission Notification 2013
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay Admissions to PhD program notification online application form 2013.

Applications are invited by IIT Bombay for admission to the PhD Programmes for the Academic Year 2013-14, at Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, Mumbai.
Eligibility:
  • Master’s Degree in Engineering / Technology or equivalent, with First class or 60 per cent marks (55 per cent marks for SC/ST)
  • Master’s degree in Science or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Technology or equivalent, with First class or 60 per cent marks (55 per cent marks for SC/ST).
  • For admission in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences and in the Industrial Design Centre, the percentage requirement is 55 per cent marks or equivalent (50 per cent for SC/ST).
  • Candidates meeting this requirement must also fulfill ONE of the following additional requirements of Valid Gate Score CSIR/UGC/NBHM / DBT / DST Inspire Award or Fellowship/ or Minimum of 2 years of professional work experience, for Sponsored (SW) / Self-Financed (SF) /Institute Staff (IS) category/ or Minimum 6 months project work experience in IIT Bombay, for Project Staff (PS) category.
How to apply:
  • Applications are to be made only through online at institutes web portal http://www.iitb.ac.in/newacadhome/phd.jsp
  • The application fee is Rs. 300 for GN/OBC-NC and Rs.150 for SC/ST. The fee is to be paid by Debit Card/ Credit Card/ SBI Internet Banking/ Online Payment System/ Demand Draft drawn on any Nationalized Bank (preferably State Bank of India / Canara Bank) in favour of "Registrar, IIT Bombay", payable at Mumbai branch. You must write your Name, Department, Application number or GATE registration number and Email address on reverse side of the Demand Draft.
  • If you are paying through Demand Draft, you MUST send the Demand Draft along with the completed copy of the application.
  • If you have paid the application fee through Debit Card/ Credit Card/ SBI Internet Banking/ Online Payment System you do not have to submit the hard copy of the application.
  • Applications without online payment details/Demand Draft will not be considered.
  • Application fee is nonrefundable.
