Name of the Post: Assistant Commandant (Group ‘A’ Gazetted Officer).

Pay Scale: Rs.15600-39100 with Grade Pay Rs 5400.

Branch Details and Eligibility Criteria/Education Qualifications:

General Duty Men: Bachelor’s degree with minimum 60% marks in aggregate of a university recognised by the Central/ State Govt./UGC. Should have qualified 12th standard with aggregate of 60% marks in Physics and Maths. Candidate must born in between 01-07-89 to 30-06-93 (both dates inclusive). 

General Duty ( Pilot, Navigator or Observer) for men: B.Sc with Maths & Physics with 60% marks in 
aggregate. (Physics or Maths should be one of the subject in final year of B.Sc Degree). Should 
have qualified 12th standard with an aggregate of 60% marks in Physics and Maths. 

Technical branch (Mechanical and Electrical) Men: Engineering degree with 60% marks in aggregate. Candidates born between 01-07-198484 to 30-06-1993 (both dates inclusive). 

Short Service Appointment Details:
Short Service Appointments (SSA) as Assistant Commandant for a period of 08 years, which may be extended to 10 years and further extendable upto 14 years.

Pilots (Helicopter and fixed wing) Commercial Pilot License holders (Men and Women): Candidates must pass12th standard with 60% marks in aggregate and should possess current / valid Commercial Pilot license (CPL) approved by DGCA on the date of Preliminary Selection. 

General Duty(Women): Candidates Should Posses Bachelor’s degree with minimum 60% marks in aggregate of a university recognised by the Central/ State Govt./UGC. Should have qualified 12th standard with aggregate of 60% marks in Physics and Maths. 

Selection Procedure: Shortlisted candidates will be called for Preliminary Selection at given date and time which will consist of Mental Ability Test/ Cognitive Aptitude Test and Picture Perception & Discussion
Test. The aptitude test will be in English only and will be objective type.

Age Limit: Must be between 01 Jul 1989 to 30 Jun 1993 (both dates inclusive).
